History
Founded in 2008 by Janice Moritz and Barb McKenzie, Celebrate Downtown Mattoon has consistently held downtown family friendly events that are free and open to the public.
All of our events are made possible by the generous sponsorship of Mattoon area businesses.
We think that we have something special to celebrate in Downtown Mattoon and can’t wait to have you join the fun.
Community Support
Celebrate Downtown Mattoon is an entirely grassroots volunteer funded effort. We are a 501c3 organization with no existing revenue streams or paid staff. We are able to continue to provide quality community events thanks to the generosity of our local partners and sponsors.
